Thread regarding Apple (AAPL)

I'm not sure why I'm posting here, but I can't find a general forum and Apple is something I've been considering. I'm 30, but this is the first time in my life that I have a small savings. I managed to put aside $5,000 and I want to invest it. I have no idea how. I've never done anything like this. All the pages I looked up that are supposedly for starters are too complicated. This is not something I'm good at. I would appreciate any help or advice if somebody would be willing to provide it. Just keep it simple, please. I don't want to get rich easily. I just want to finally start saving for the future.
