Thread regarding Imperial Oil (IMO) stock

Can Imperial recover from the Q1 earnings miss?

Imperial’s Q1 miss looked pretty ugly, mostly from weaker pricing and refinery issues. But I’m not sure if this is a real red flag or just a messy quarter for an otherwise solid operator.

The stock has usually gotten credit for discipline, cash returns, and strong oil sands assets. Question is whether Q2/Q3 can prove the miss was temporary — or if investors should start worrying about execution risk and valuation.
