Thread regarding Ally Financial (ALLY) stock

Earnings beat but that revenue miss bothers me

Ally just reported Q1 earnings and the stock popped a bit pre-market, but I'm not sure how to feel. They crushed earnings expectations, $1.11 adjusted versus $0.95 forecast, which is great on paper. But revenue came up short, missing by about $80 million. The dividend is still there, 30 cents a share, and the CEO sounded confident. But auto loans and credit cards are a tricky business right now, people are stretched. Strong earnings, weak revenue, steady dividend. I don't know which way this goes from here.
