Thread regarding Macy's (M)

I assume the sudden spike is just a seasonal, post holiday sales thing. Macy’s has been doing badly for quite a long time. It has been closing stores and will continue to do that in the future, based on the official announcement. It seems that it shares the bleak future with many other retailers. I decided to sell a portion of shares while they’ve been up, and wait for another seasonal spike to get rid of the rest.
