It has always been diversified well and characterized by smart investments. Recent pullout from Apple and Bank of America suggests that they are making moves ahead of the possible market pullback and gearing for the investment opportunities that would create. However, one can not but think that the single reason BH has always been successful was Buffett's deep involvement and oversight. He is 94 and making way for the replacement. Unless Abel has been a good pupil, BH business can fall apart once Buffett steps down.
