I’ve held Airbnb for a while and honestly I’m getting frustrated. Italian tax dispute, insider selling, margins shrinking - feels like one thing after another. But what really scares me is the bigger picture. Energy crisis is only getting worse. If travel gets restricted or flights get stupid expensive, who’s booking a $200/night rental? We’re staring down a possible recession and all I hear is “AI advantage.” Cool, but AI doesn’t pay for gas. I wanted growth but now I’m wondering if travel demand holds up when people can barely afford groceries.
