Thread regarding 3M (MMM)

I had my eye on 3M for a long time. All points to the fact that this is a good stock to have in your portfolio,especially for people that hold on to the stock for a long time and have dividend based portfolio.
One thing bugs me though. Why on earth is 3M so far from the radar of analysts and why is this stock not mentioned at all in the media that cover stock trading? Is there any reason why a stock with this kind of performance and a company with this kind of performance is not encouraged to be bought in the media? Honestly that is the only thing that is preventing me from buying.
